BOARD OF EDUCATION
Bryon S. Magill My wife, Mimi, and I along with our two children (we have since added a third) were relocated from Gilbertsville, PA to Waterford Township nearly six years ago. I was born and raised in Galloway Township (Atlantic County) where my parents still reside today. Many of the core values which I relish and practice today were formulated right here in South Jersey.
My experiences with instructing children prior to moving back to New Jersey include working as coach and administrator, as well as a dorm parent, at Choate Rosemary Hall which is a private Boarding High School located in Wallingford, Connecticut. I have also coached in the youth athletic leagues while living in the Boyertown, Pennsylvania area and more recently coached in the WTAA Baseball league. For the past few years I have also assisted in coaching for the Hammonton Youth Wrestling club.
I am currently employed as a Territory Manager for CertainTeed, a leading worldwide building supply manufacturer, who has a local facility located in Berlin. My family and I attend Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong, NJ where we are involved in a variety of ministries including serving on the Deacon Board. As of this year, we will have two children attending our public schools, and I am proud to say that I believe we have one of the finest school systems in the area. I have had the pleasure to serve on the Water Township Board Township Board of Education for the past three and a half years.
My personal goal is to voluntarily contribute, interact, and participate in as many ways as possible, to ensure that the established quality of our children’s education remains high. We are investing together as a community in both the present and future of our children. We are building a stronger community by instilling core values in our children that will mature in our churches, homes, and school systems and inevitably in our society.

I grew up with my family in neighboring Winslow Township and was a graduate of Edgewood Regional High School in the early 90’s. I have lived in Atco with my wife, Kimberly, for 4 years and we now have a beautiful 5 month old baby boy, Liam Robert. For more than half of my work career I was apart of landscaping and landscape contracting. I owned my own landscape company for 6 years before selling it to further my career in design work. Approximately 6 years ago I changed gears in the career world, and after going back to school for certification, I now have a job that is involved in the school districts. Presently I am the Director of Plant Facilities of the Willingboro School District. My goal for being on the school board is to use my knowledge of how the school systems can work effectively and implement them into our district to continue to help our faculty, staff, and students grow. I want to help make our schools be the best they can for my son and for all of our children of this township.

For the past 32 years Waterford Township has been my home with my wife Anita. We have been married for 33 years, and have a married daughter, Jennifer Brittain. As an active community member, in different capacities, I am involved in several organizations in the Waterford Township. Most notably, I have enjoyed working for the children of our township as a School Board member. I have dedicated my talent and services for the past ten years, as a board member, ensuring a safe and quality education is available to meet our children’s needs and expectations. I am always working with administrators to set future goals for our school system that will continue to challenge our students and prepare them for the ever changing technical world of tomorrow.

I have been a resident of Waterford Township for about 26 years. I reside on Pliner Court in Atco with my 24 year old son, Matthew. I am proud to say that Matthew is a product of the Waterford Township School System. I have been a member of the Waterford BOE for approximately 13 years now and enjoy this opportunity to serve the residents of our community, especially our children.
I have worked in the legal field for over 30 years. My positions have included legal secretary, paralegal, legal assistant and office manager for several law offices. My newest position is with South Jersey Legal Services, Senior Citizens Advocate Center. I have been working for Legal Services for almost 8 years now. I enjoy my work very much. A major part of my position with Legal Services is to assist the senior citizens in Camden County with any legal concerns that they have. I conduct outreaches in the community, visiting senior centers, county libraries and nursing homes. I am also a part of the senior workshops held four to five times a month at different locations including the Camden County Store at Echelon Mall and the Cherry Hill Library.
