LUNCH BUNCH

Besides our primary and supplemental Basic Skills Program, we offer a Lunch Bunch Program during recess, twice a week.  This program is for students at and below the state benchmark in the NJASK or the Terra Nova Test in grades three, four and five.  Students work one day a week in Language Arts Literacy and Mathematics in skill areas that address one skill at a time to reinforce test taking skills.  This process should enhance and enrich the students understanding of the skills and concepts being presented at their grade level.

Participation is based on multi-factors, including teacher recommendation, classroom performance based on teacher-made tests and quiz results, standardized tests, writing samples, publisher tests, report card grades and the specific learning needs of each child.  Service plans vary from assistance by an instructional aide to more specialized instruction by a fully certified classroom teacher.  The service plan is based upon the needs of your child and may vary throughout the school year.  Progress is monitored daily and all federal and state guidelines are adhered to at all times.

Our experience tells us such programs, if tailored to the needs of each child as much as possible, are highly effective in providing the strong foundation of success so critical in the elementary school experience.
